One-Way Video Interview Software Pricing Compared (2026): Who Actually Bills What

Every one-way video interview tool we've looked at closely this year bills the same way: a recurring charge that keeps running whether or not you're hiring that month. Some disclose it up front, some hide it behind a credit pool, and a couple won't publish a number at all. Here's what each one actually charges, in one place, instead of spread across nine separate comparisons.

The recurring-subscription group

These bill monthly (or annually at a discount) no matter how many roles you're filling right now.

ToolPriceWhat it buys
Hireflix$75-150/monthFlat fee, same whether you screen one role or twenty that month
Willo (Lite)£49/role/monthPer-role, but it's a monthly bill that keeps running as long as the role stays open — not a one-time fee
Spark Hire$249/month (annual) or $299/month (month-to-month)Standalone video interview plan
InterviewFlowAI$59-$499/monthTiered plans with interview credits bundled in
EasyHireFree for 5 interviews/month (2-week storage), then $49-$99/month per jobRebills every month the job stays open past the free tier
Truffle$49-$599/monthCredit pool shared between video interviews and AI resume screening — the "interviews per month" headline number assumes none of the pool goes to resume matching

The opaque-enterprise group

Neither publishes a price. Both make you talk to sales first.

ToolWhat we foundSetup
HireVueNo public pricing; third-party procurement data puts real contracts at $35,000-$145,000+/yearMulti-year, no free trial
VidCruiter"Request Pricing" form only; third-party estimates put contracts at $5,000+/year4-8 week implementation

myInterview used to be in the self-serve group, at a published price — it was acquired by Radancy in September 2025 and folded into Radancy's enterprise suite. The old pricing page now redirects to a demo-request form, so it's effectively moved into this opaque-enterprise group too.

The one outlier: usage-based, not subscription

VideoPitcher doesn't bill monthly at all — it charges $0.50 per candidate assessment (₹25 in India), no plan, no minimum. That makes it the only other tool here that isn't a recurring bill. At low volume it can undercut Flash Interview's $39-per-role fee; the breakeven is around 78 candidates on one role, which is well past the 50-candidate cap Flash Interview's fee covers. For a handful of candidates on a single role, VideoPitcher's per-candidate math wins. For a role that draws a real applicant pool, $39 flat stops being more expensive once you pass that point.

What Flash Interview charges

$39 per role, once — covers up to 50 candidate invites for that role, for as long as it's open, with no monthly bill, no credit pool, and nothing left running after you fill the role.

Why this keeps showing up

Every comparison we've run this year — Hireflix, Willo, Spark Hire, InterviewFlowAI, EasyHire, Truffle, HireVue, VidCruiter — lands on the same shape: a recurring bill, sized for continuous hiring volume, that you pay whether or not you're actually screening candidates that month. If you're hiring for one role at a time, that's a subscription you start and then have to remember to cancel. A flat per-role fee doesn't have that problem, because there's nothing left to cancel once the role is filled.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a one-way video interview tool with no monthly fee?

Flash Interview and VideoPitcher are the two in this comparison that don't bill monthly. Flash Interview charges $39 once per role (up to 50 candidates); VideoPitcher charges $0.50 per candidate assessment with no base fee. Every other tool listed here — Hireflix, Willo, Spark Hire, InterviewFlowAI, EasyHire, Truffle, HireVue, VidCruiter — bills on a recurring schedule.

Which video interview software is cheapest for a single role?

For a single role with up to 50 candidates, Flash Interview's flat $39 is cheaper than any of the monthly-subscription tools, since even the lowest listed monthly price (Hireflix at $75, or Willo's £49/role/month) already costs more before you've screened one candidate. VideoPitcher can be cheaper below roughly 78 candidates, since it has no base fee.

Why do most video interview tools charge monthly instead of per role?

A monthly subscription is predictable revenue for the vendor regardless of how much a customer actually hires that month. It works well for teams hiring continuously across several open roles at once, which is the buyer most of these tools are built for. It's a worse fit if you're only filling one role occasionally, since you're paying for months you may not use.

What does HireVue or VidCruiter actually cost, since they don't publish pricing?

Neither publishes a price list. Third-party procurement research puts real HireVue contracts at $35,000-$145,000+ per year, typically multi-year with no free trial, and VidCruiter contracts at $5,000+ per year with a 4-8 week setup process. Both require a sales conversation before you get a number.
